Fluorescent Retrofits:

For office and retail space, retrofitting from T12 lamps and magnetic ballasts will provide for much better lighting and energy savings with a good payback: Interior and exterior fixtures can be retrofitted to improve illumination or save energy and usually both. We will audit your facility and work with you to design a retrofit plan to best suit your needs. We retrofit lighting in office buildings, warehouses, retail and exterior fixture retrofits. There are many options with T8 lighting that we can discuss with you to meet your needs.

Another consideration is the use of motion sensors and/or ambient light sensors. In addition to the savings obtained from the switch to T8 lighting, you may be able to save significant energy by simply turning lights off when not needed automatically.
The use of compact fluorescent lamps in sconces, recessed can lights and even soffet lights outside. Compact fluorescent lamps are being advertised to the residential consumer market. Many of such lamps are residential grade. They flicker when they start up, take a very long time to reach full brightness and nearly all of them are the twisted ice cream cone type. We can provide the commercial grade compact fluorescent lamps in many shapes, do not flicker and will reach full brightness much faster than residential grade lamps. Furthermore, we can obtain and recommend different color render compacts from 3000 Kelvin for a warmer feel close to

incandescent lights to 5000 kelvin which is very near a daylight color which appears to be more light yet it is simply the fact that the human eye is most sensitive to that color. We usually recommend that our customers install compact fluorescent lamps themselves, except in very high atrium or soffet areas, but to follow our recommendation of the color and shape of the lamp.

HID Retrofits:

HID technology has advanced again to improve efficiency. One of the parking lot poles to the left is consuming 50% less than the others power as the others. Can you spot the one?

If you have decorative poles where you prefer to preserve that look, this is an excellent choice to reduce energy AND get a good payback. In addition, unlike induction or LED you are not facing a very large reinvestment when the light burns out.

We also have various means of switching to high or low light output (and energy consumption) with an astronomical clock-timer (self adjusting) or a motion sensor if you chose on specific fixtures if you feel it is necessary.
